Prizes / Scoring:
- Top 3 places in each category will receive swag. This is a training series, so we cannot pay cash prizes and are not submitting results to USACycling
- All 3 categories are open, non-gender specific
- We will have separate podiums to acknowledge (1) Top 3 finishers, (2) Top 3 W/T/F finishers
- All Junior finishers will receive a prize
- Juniors should be ages 14 & younger. Ages 15 & up should race the B or A race
Cost:
- $20
- Registration on-site only, no pre-reg
- USACycling license is required for insurance. However, Friends of Big Marsh is choosing a flat $20 fee for everyone. So, if you don't have a USACycling license, FOBM is covering your $10 cost for a One-Day License. Please consider donating a few extra dollars at registration. It is a charity event for the park!
Location:
- The first 4 events in the series (June 15, 26, July 10, 24) are all held at Big Marsh Park 11599 S. Stony Island Ave. Chicago, IL 60633
- The fifth event (August 3) is held at Palos Forest Preserve Wolf Road Willow Springs, IL 60580
Course:
- The course will be a mixture of dirt singletrack, gravel doubletrack, grass, and pavement
- Laps will be ~1 mile long. Competitors will complete estimated 5-8 laps depending on skill level
- Course will change each week
- Course can be ridden on mountain or cyclocross bike, but favors mountain bike
